You're going to love these Vegan Beef Wontons w/ Spicy Chili Oil! Spicy crunchy chili oil drizzled over a soft and flavorful wonton stuffed with vegan ground beef, shallot, garlic, and ginger. So good!
Heat a large pan on medium-high heat and add the oil.
Cook the shallot, garlic, and ginger for 2-3 minutes until soft and fragrant. Add in the vegan ground beef and cook for another 5 minutes. Mix together the sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili flakes, salt and pepper. Pour over the vegan beef and toss to combine.
Finely chop the green onions and toss once more. Remove from heat.
To make the wontons, dip a finger in water and go around the edges of the wrapper. Add two teaspoons of the filling to the center and fold in to a rectangle. Seal the wonton and dab a little bit of water on the right corner then bring the two corners together and squeeze together. Check tips & tricks for more help.
Boil a large pot of water and boil the wontons in batches of 6 or 7 for 2 minutes each.
Make the spicy chili oil by whisking together all the ingredients.
Serve the wontons with a drizzle of the spicy chili oil and enjoy!!
Notes
Store uncooked leftovers in the freezer or fridge until ready to serve. Boil for 2 minutes as instructed and serve with spicy chili oil.
