Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Chocolate Syrup more or less to preference
  • Ice Cubes
  • ½ cup Oat Milk unsweetened
  • Double Shot of Espresso

Instructions

  • Make ahead the chocolate syrup. It's three simple ingredients: cocoa powder, plant-based milk, and organic cane sugar. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add chocolate syrup to the bottom of a tall glass.
  • Fill with ice and pour in the oat milk.
  • Brew a double shot of espresso and pour over the oat milk. Stir and taste to adjust chocolate flavor and sweetness.
  • If making a hot mocha latte, froth and steam the milk and omit the ice.

Notes

If the chocolate sauce is too thick to your preference, add 1-2 more tablespoons of plant-based milk or water to thin it out.
If the syrup thickens too much in the fridge, don't worry! Brew the hot espresso over the mocha sauce and then follow it up with ice and milk. It will loosen up!
Use an unsweetened oat milk so you can be completely in control of the sweetness.
