Strawberry Matcha Latte

  • Make ahead the strawberry simple syrup. It's three simple ingredients: strawberries, water, and organic cane sugar. Simmer for 8-10 minutes and allow to cool before using it for iced drinks.
  • Sift the matcha powder through a mesh strainer and add to a small mug or bowl.
  • Add ¼ cup of hot water to the matcha and use a bamboo whisk or a milk frother to mix them together until well incorporated and slightly frothy.
  • Add strawberry syrup to the bottom of a glass. Fill the glass with ice and pour in the plant-based milk-- I used almond.
  • Pour in the matcha over the milk and stir to combine. Taste and adjust sweetener to preference and enjoy!
  • If making a hot strawberry matcha, froth and steam the milk and omit the ice.
