Equipment

Ingredients

Cinnamon Dolce Syrup

  • 1 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Paste or extract
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt

Iced Cinnamon Dolce Latte

  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon Dolce Syrup more to taste
  • Ice Cubes
  • ½ cup Oat Milk
  • Double Shot of Espresso
  • Sprinkle of Cinnamon Sugar optional

Instructions

  • Whisk together the brown sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, vanilla paste, and a pinch of salt in a small pan.
  • Bring to a slight boil then quickly reduce the heat to medium to reach a simmer, whisk occasionally until the sugar completely dissolves, approximately 5 minutes. Take it off the heat and let it cool.
  • Add cinnamon dolce syrup to the bottom of a tall glass.
  • Fill with ice and pour in the oat milk.
  • Brew a double shot of espresso and pour over the oat milk. Stir and taste to adjust sweetness.
  • Optional but delicious- mix together a teaspoon of brown sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle on top. Enjoy!
  • If making a hot cinnamon dolce latte, froth and steam the milk and omit the ice.

Notes

Allow the syrup to cool to room temperature before using it for iced drinks. It can be immediately added to a hot drink but allowing it to cool before adding it over ice will prevent it from crystallizing.
