    Hi, I'm Liv!

    I'm the recipe developer, content creator, and food photographer behind Liv Vegan Strong- a go-to destination for food lovers who want plant-based meals that are easy, family-friendly, and packed with flavor!

    I've been vegan for over 13 years, and along the way, I've gathered a collection of recipes perfect for any occasion- weeknight meals, date nights, holiday feasts, and more.

    No matter the dish, one thing remains the same: my recipes are easy to follow, simple to make, and always full of flavor.

    When I'm not in the kitchen or editing on my couch, you can usually find me out exploring New York City, trying new vegan restaurants, and sipping an oat latte at a local coffee shop.

    Liv's Favorite Vegan Finds

    Vegan Butter: Violife and Earth Balance are my go-to butter alternatives for both baking and cooking.

    Vegan Cheese: Violife and Follow Your Heart are my top dairy-free cheese brands. Be sure to try the gouda, feta, and Parmesan- those are my absolute favorites!

    Best Dairy-Free Milks: Califia and Silk are my go-to brands for non-dairy milks, while NutPods is my favorite coffee creamer.

    Favorite Vegan Snacks: Bobo Bars, Hippeas, Misfits Protein Bar, Hummus and Vegetables, and Cookie Dough Energy Bites are my favorite snacks.

    Vegan Sauces & Condiments: Whole Food's 365 Brand is my go-to place to start for sauces and condiments like bbq sauce, sweet chili sauce, and peanut sauce.

    I'm new to plant-based eating. Where should I start?

    Start by focusing on simple yet familiar meals that can be easily made vegan. Pasta dishes, stir-fries, or tacos are a great place to start. Stock your kitchen with pantry staples like tofu, beans, lentils, grains, nuts, and dairy-free alternatives to make cooking easier.

    What's your go-to comfort food recipe?

    One of my favorite comfort food recipes is Lasagna Soup with tofu crumbles and vegan ricotta! It's packed with all the classic lasagna flavors but so much easier to make than assembling a full lasagna. Cozy, hearty, and absolutely delicious!

    Can I make your recipes gluten-free or allergy-friendly?

    Yes, many of my recipes can be easily adapted to be gluten-free or allergy-friendly! I often include substitutions for common allergens like gluten, soy, or nuts in the body of the blog post.

    What are your favorite vegan pantry staples?

    My go-to vegan pantry staples include canned beans, lentils, rice, pasta, common spices, nutritional yeast, canned tomatoes, nuts, seeds, rolled oats, and non-dairy milks. These essentials make it easy to whip up a variety of savory and sweet meals!
