Ingredients

  • 1 pound Frozen Green Beans
  • 1 tablespoon Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt see note
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Red Chili Flakes
  • Pinch of Sesame Seeds
  • Drizzle of Toasted Sesame Oil

Instructions

  • Add the frozen green beans to a large bowl. Do not defrost.
  • Add the olive oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Toss until coated and then add them to the air fryer basket. No need to preheat.
  • Air fryer at 375F for 12-15 minutes or until crispy and golden. Shake the basket halfway through the cooking time.
  • Adjust the cooking time as needed. Depending on your air fryer and preference, your green beans may need more or less time to get perfectly crisp. Frying in batches can help with even browning. But I often just throw them all in. This will be dependent on the size of your air fryer.
  • Sprinkle with red chili flakes, sesame seeds, and a drizzle of sesame oil. Taste and add additional salt, if needed.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Important Note about Salt: Not all salts are made equal and cannot be substituted 1:1. If you are substituting table salt for kosher salt, you will need to cut the amount called for in the recipe by at least half.

Don't defrost the green beans before air frying. They will get soggy, not crisp.

Adjust the cooking time as needed. Depending on your air fryer and preference, your green beans may need more or less time.
