Ingredients

  • 1 cup Frank's RedHot Original Hot Sauce
  • ½ cup Vegan Butter
  • 4 teaspoons White Wine Vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher Salt see note
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • teaspoon Cayenne Pepper optional

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a small pot over low heat.
  • Whisk frequently until the vegan butter is fully melted and the sauce is smooth. Keep the heat low, do not let it boil.
  • Alternatively, melt the vegan butter and pour over the ingredients in a small bowl or jar and whisk until combined.
  • Serve immediately or store in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

Look for a hot sauce that is hot pepper and vinegar based and not one with a lot of added ingredients. This will yield better results.

Important Note about Salt: Not all salts are made equal and cannot be substituted 1:1. If you are substituting table salt for kosher salt, you will need to cut the amount called for in the recipe by at least half.
