Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 Pita Pockets
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • ½ teaspoon Dried Parsley
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Onion Powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon Kosher Salt see note
  • ¼ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Red Pepper Flakes optional

Instructions

  • Slice the pita pockets into 8 wedges and add to a large bowl.
  • Drizzle in olive oil and toss to evenly coat each piece.
  • Sprinkle in the seasonings and toss again to ensure all of the pita is coated in spices.
  • Add half the pita to the air fryer— fry in batches to ensure even browning.
  • Air Fry at 350℉ for 5-6 minutes, shaking the basket often. No need to preheat the air fryer.
  • Repeat with the other batch. Keep in mind that the second batch will cook quicker. They should be crispy and golden brown when done.
  • Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy!

Notes

Adjust the timing depending on your air fryer. My first batch took about 6 minutes and 5 minutes for the second batch!
If you pull them out and notice some are still slightly soft, throw the soft ones back in the air fryer for another minute or two until crisp.
Important Note about Salt: Not all salts are made equal and cannot be substituted 1:1. If you are substituting table salt for kosher salt, you will need to cut the amount called for in the recipe by at least half.
