Vegan Honey Mustard

This Vegan Honey Mustard is the perfect salad dressing or dipping sauce for vegan nuggets. It's creamy, incredibly flavorful, and only takes 5 minutes to whip up!

Ingredients
 

  • ¼ cup Vegan Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Yellow Mustard
  • ¼ cup Maple Syrup adjust to preference
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • Pinch of Kosher Salt see note
  • Pinch of Black Pepper
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Whisk together yellow mustard, maple syrup, vegan mayonnaise, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl or jar. Taste and adjust to preference.
  • I recommend starting with half the amount of maple syrup and adding more as needed— the amount used will depend on your own personal preference.

Notes

If you prefer it thicker, I would recommend using a thicker store-bought vegan mayo like Vegenaise. I used homemade mayo which has a little thinner consistency.
If you have the time, allow the flavors to meld together by refrigerating the vegan honey mustard for 30 minutes before serving.
Important Note about Salt: Not all salts are made equal and cannot be substituted 1:1. If you are substituting table salt for kosher salt, you will need to cut the amount called for in the recipe by at least half.
