Whip up this Vegan Bang Bang Sauce in less than 5 minutes! Made with creamy vegan mayo, sweet chili sauce, and a touch of sriracha, this sweet and spicy sauce will quickly become your go-to for drizzling on everything.

This vegan bang bang sauce recipe is inspired by the bang bang shrimp appetizer at Bonefish Grill.
Good thing for us, we can make the copycat recipe at home by using plant-based mayo instead of regular mayo.
The sweet chili sauce adds both heat and sweetness, while the vegan mayo gives it a creamy texture. And a touch of sriracha adds a little extra spice!
My favorite ways to serve this spicy and sweet bang bang sauce is drizzled over baked tofu, vegan chicken nuggets, rice bowls, or even air fryer green beans.

Ingredients
This creamy sweet chili sauce recipe is ready in under 5 minutes, and comes together quickly by whisking all the ingredients in a small bowl.
Get ready to add this to your weekly dinner rotation— it's that delicious!
Vegan Mayo: The base of our bang bang sauce is plant-based mayo, which adds a creamy texture and keeps the spice level mild. I use the brand Follow Your Heart Vegenaise.
Sriracha: This recipe uses sriracha for a bit of spice, but feel free to adjust the amount to your taste.
Just be cautious with the brand, as Huy Fong sriracha (the most popular one) isn't vegan due to its use of conventional sugar. Look for an organic version or one made with organic sugar to avoid bone char in the sugar filtration process. I use Yellowbird Sriracha.
Sweet Chili Sauce: You can use homemade sweet chili sauce or store-bought. I use the 365 Whole Foods Sweet Chili. Make sure to check the ingredients, as the same note above applies here too.
Rice Vinegar: Subtle tang and acidity.
Garlic: If you don't have a fresh clove, you can use a sprinkle of garlic powder.

Substitutions & Variations
Adjust to your preference by playing around with the amount of sriracha. If you want it spicer, add a full tablespoon!
Add in a drizzle of maple syrup if you need a bit more sweetness.
Unsweetened Greek yogurt could be a good vegan mayo alternative but keep in mind the sauce will have a bit more tanginess.
