Whip up this Vegan Bang Bang Sauce in less than 5 minutes! Made with creamy vegan mayo, sweet chili sauce, and a touch of sriracha, it's sweet, spicy, and perfect for drizzling over tofu, cauliflower, or vegan shrimp.

This vegan bang bang sauce is inspired by the popular bang bang shrimp appetizer from Bonefish Grill.
This dairy-free version uses plant-based mayo, sweet chili sauce, and a touch of sriracha for the same creamy, sweet-spicy flavor.

Ingredient Notes
This sauce comes together in minutes by whisking a few simple ingredients in one bowl.

Vegan Mayo: I like I use the brand Follow Your Heart Vegenaise, but any vegan mayo works well.
Sweet Chili Sauce: Adds sweetness and heat. I prefer to use 365 Whole Foods Sweet Chili as it's spicer than other store-bought versions.
Sriracha: Adds extra spice. Adjust the amount depending on your preferred heat level. I recommend Yellowbird Sriracha.

Substitutions & Variations
Adjust the spice: Add more sriracha for extra heat.
Make it sweeter: Stir in a drizzle of maple syrup.
Swap the mayo: Unsweetened vegan Greek yogurt can be used instead, but the sauce will be slightly tangier.
Serving Ideas
This creamy, spicy sauce is perfect for drizzling, dipping, or spreading on plant-based dishes.
- Bang Bang Tofu: Drizzle over crispy bang bang tofu for an easy appetizer or serve it over rice for a quick dinner.
- Vegan Spring Rolls: Use as a dipping sauce for fresh rice paper rolls or fried spring rolls filled with vegetables and tofu.
- Air Fryer Vegetables: Perfect for dipping or drizzling over veggies like these air fryer frozen green beans or this easy 15-minute air fryer broccoli and cauliflower.

Tips & Tricks
Adjust the sweetness and heat to your taste.. Add more sweet chili sauce for extra sweetness or sriracha for added spice. Keep in mind that some sweet chili sauces can be spicier than others!
For a thicker sauce, add more mayo.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Frequently Asked Questions
If the sauce is too thick, whisk in a small splash of water until it reaches your desired consistency.
Reduce the amount of sriracha or add a little extra vegan mayo.
As long as you use a gluten-free sweet chili sauce, the sauce itself is gluten-free.
