Ingredient Notes
These chocolate-covered strawberry inspired overnight oats use simple pantry ingredients you may already have on hand.

Old-Fashioned Oats: Rolled oats soften perfectly overnight while keeping a hearty texture. Quick oats tend to become too soft after soaking.
Non-Dairy Milk and Yogurt: Any plant-based milk or yogurt works here. Use unsweetened so you can control the sweetness with maple syrup. Vanilla-flavored varieties also work well.
Chia Seeds: As the oats soak overnight, chia seeds absorb liquid and help thicken the mixture.
Cocoa Powder: Adds the chocolate flavor to the oats.

Substitutions & Variations
Feel free to switch things up based on what you have on hand.
Pure Maple Syrup: Agave syrup makes a good substitute.
Cocoa Powder: Cacao powder can be used instead, but it has a stronger flavor so the chocolate taste will be more pronounced.

Topping Ideas
I love topping these strawberry chocolate overnight oats with extra chopped chocolate, fresh strawberries, and a dollop of strawberry jam!
- Fruit: Fresh fruit like bananas or raspberries would be delicious along with the strawberries as both pair well with chocolate.
- Nut butter: A spoonful of almond butter, peanut butter, or sunflower seed butter would be great.
- Add a crunch: Crunchy toppings like chopped almonds, peanuts, pecans, or granola would be great!
